Conservation Impact and Future Goals
Measuring our conservation impact and outlining ambitious goals for marine restoration in Timor-Leste.
Since beginning operations, Marenum has made significant contributions to marine conservation in Timor-Leste. Our efforts have resulted in the cultivation of over 1,000 coral specimens and the successful breeding of multiple tropical fish species.
Conservation achievements: - 15 coral species successfully cultivated - 500+ coral fragments transplanted to degraded reefs - 200 local community members trained - 3 research partnerships established - Zero environmental violations recorded
Looking ahead, our five-year plan includes: - Expanding operations to three additional sites - Developing coral nursery networks - Establishing a marine research center - Creating sustainable livelihood programs - Implementing blockchain tracking for coral conservation
Our vision is to make Timor-Leste a regional leader in sustainable marine aquaculture and coral reef restoration.
